Warren Alpheus Blakesley, born 30 May 1831 in Seneca County, Ohio.  As a young man, he worked for a brief time on the farm of neighbor Christopher Spinknable in McHenry County, Illinois.  But, he soon joined the Gold Rush, and settled at Elizabethtown in Plumas County.  That mining village was named for his wife, Celia Elizabeth Starke  (18 October 1838 - 18 May 1918).  They were married 24 January 1854,  and settled at Quincy in Plumas County, where Warren died 24 April 1902.   Warren and Elizabeth are buried alongside their two sons at Quincy Cemetery in Plumas County.453
